Hot Summer Night Festival presented by the Rotary Club of Newbury Park & Old Boney Mountain Hot Sauce on July 12, 2018 from 5pm-9p at The Gardens @ Los Robles Golf Course. This event will feature Music, corn hole, craft beer, local restaurants, local & international hot sauces, and more!
Councilman Michael Morgan and Nathaniel Hunnicutt from the Camarillo Fiesta Association will be talking about The Camarillo Fiesta & Street Fair. This event is a large community celebration in Old Town Camarillo along Ventura Boulevard planned for July 19-22, 2018. This event features carnival rides, food and crafts vendors, entertainment, car show, kids’ activities, carnival rides and a beer and wine garden.
A two-time world champion boxer, boxing commentator, and TV personality, Maureen Shea is considered “The Real Million Dollar Baby,” having served as Hilary Swank’s primary sparring partner in Swank’s Oscar award-winning role in Million Dollar Baby. Maureen will be joining us with Jessie ‘Chuy’ Rodriguez, who is a recognized Oxnard and Los Angeles salsa champion. They will be competing in the “Dancing With Our Community Stars” event at the Oxnard Salsa Festival on July 28-29, 2018.
John Hammarlund is the Regional Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Seattle office. His primary focus is outreach and education about CMS programs — including Medicare, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program, the Affordable Care Act, and delivery system reform He will be discussing the new Medicare cards as well as provide information on the card rollout on when people with Medicare in these states will be receiving their cards.
