Caitlin Paulus Case is the Executive Director at SEEAG. More than 20 farms, ranches and agricultural organizations will open their doors to the public during the 13th Annual Ventura County Farm Day on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free event, organized by Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture (SEEG),  invites community members of all ages to explore and experience local farms, ranches and agricultural venues across Ventura County. For more information about Ventura County Farm Day, visit vcfarmday.org or call 805-892-8155.

Shikha Narula is the Head of Consumer Deposit Products. As Americans navigate today’s economic environment, saving money remains a top priority — but it’s not always easy. In fact, 37% say balancing saving and spending is their biggest financial hurdle, according to a new Bank of America survey. This Spring, America Saves Week (April 6 to 10) provides a timely call to action, “Own Your Financial Story: Small Steps, Big Impact.” It’s a reminder for Americans to reset their financial habits and take small steps now that can make a meaningful difference over time.

A memoir, historical record, and educational guide all in one, “Dr. Doug’s Animal Answers” captures one man’s journey to becoming a veterinarian and his many experiences with his animal patients, the ones who could not speak—and their special owners—while working a mixed animal practice in Southern Maine. Dr. Doug Hutchins also includes an intriguing history of veterinary medicine from its infancy to present day, as well as a special section on Lyme Disease for animal owners to become better acquainted with its diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Available on Amazon.

Dr. Michael Beasley is a pediatric sports medicine specialist with a focus on sports injury prevention and overuse injuries at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Young athletes who focus on a single sport are at higher risk of overuse injuries, mostly because their bones and muscles are still growing, putting strain on the growth plates. Pediatric sports specialists recognize that some sports require early specialization but generally recommend a multi-sport approach to build diverse athletic skills and avoid injury and burnout.
