Amanda Frederickson is a professional cook and recipe developer. Her new cookbook “Simple Beautiful Food” comes out April 7, 2020 and features over 100 easy recipes with accessible ingredients, as well as a choose your own adventure style recipe chart that shows the reader how to take 1 simple ingredient and cook it a number of different ways.

Dr. Ola Akinboboye, Medical Director at Queens Heart Institute in Rosedale, N.Y. and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at New York University, will be discussing the risks of hereditary ATTR amyloidosis and the importance of genetic testing. ATTR amyloidosis is a debilitating disease that gets worse over time and can rob people of their ability to function in everyday life. Without an awareness and understanding of hereditary ATTR amyloidosis, symptoms may be missed or misdiagnosed.

A nonfiction memoir based on a true story, “Fighting Chance” is written by Alicia Doyle, an award-winning journalist who discovered boxing at age twenty-eight in the late 1990s. During her boxing career, she won two Golden Gloves championship titles and earned three wins by knockout – and her pro debut at age thirty in the year 2000 was named The California Female Fight of the Year. Fighting Chance offers an inside look at what’s considered the toughest sport known to man.

Bob Schmidt is a licensed professional counselor and is co-author, along with Sharon Cohen, of a book that is extremely timely and important in light of the COVID-19 “Coronavirus” pandemic that currently threatens people around the world. Their book is called “Disaster Mental Health Community Planning: A Manual for Trauma-Informed Collaboration”. Bob will be speaking about the historic nature of the COVID-19 pandemic and some important issues we all need to be aware of, for the months and years ahead.
