6am Show: November 4, 2017

November 4, 2017

Patrick Vest, Peter Van Norden, and Vivien Latham will be talking about the current show playing at Rubicon Theatre Company called Taking Sides, which is a provocative and gripping drama based on the true story of German conductor and composer (and accused Nazi sympathizer) Wilhelm Furtwängler. Written by Academy Award-winner SIR RONALD HARWOOD (“The Pianist”) and directed by Ovation Award-winner STEPHANIE COLTRIN, the play explores the terrible collision between art, power, politics and personal responsibility.

Dan Caro is the author of “The Gift of Fire: How I Made Adversity Work for Me”. He was born and raised in Southern Louisiana and grew up surrounded by the sounds of the New Orleans jazz scene. He vowed at a young age that, despite the childhood fire that robbed him of his hands, he would become a professional drummer. His pursuit and achievement of his dream inspired thousands of people and launched his second career as a motivational speaker.

Dr. Leticia Ximénez is the proud founder of Start Again, Not Over where she offers her distinct expertise to help people move forward through the challenges of life’s difficult transitions to get where they want to be. Dr. Ximénez is committed to maintaining a mental health, multidisciplinary, multicultural, and culturally sensitive perspective as well as promoting community education, organization, and empowerment.
