Maryann Wahmann co-founded the Neuroendocrine Cancer Awareness Network (NCAN), a nonprofit whose mission is to intensify awareness of neuroendocrine tumors and carcinoid cancer among the general public and in the medical community around the world. She will Maryann will be joined by her doctor, Dr. Hal Gerstein, a medical oncologist to discuss the signs and symptoms of this rare disease and the challenges of living with carcinoid syndrome.

The people who experienced the Valley and Wine Country Fires in California have been heavily impacted by it. Some fled the flames in terror, some lost everything including pets and livestock, many did not know if their homes or businesses survived, and evacuees were just waiting to get home. Patricia Ravitz, LMFT, Past President of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, will be talking about dealing with trauma from natural disasters. They’ll also discuss how a marriage and family therapist can help with many issues and the stress to rebuild.
