Judi and Shari Zucker—the “Double Energy Twins”—attended the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) and earned BAs in ergonomics, the study of human physiology, physical education, and nutrition. They became vegetarians at age 11 and wrote their first book, How to Survive Snack Attacks—Naturally! when they were just 16. Since then, they have written six best-selling health books. They lecture on living a healthy life, clean eating, and having more energy at hospitals, schools, and health and wellness programs nationwide. They are favorite guests on many local and national television shows, including The Today Show and Home & Family. Judi and Shari are both married and have five children between them. They reside in Santa Barbara, California.


Brian McDonald joined the staff of Rubicon Theatre Company in 2002 as their first Production Manager and Director of Education and now serves as a resident director and Associate Producer. He is the founder and program director of Rubicon’s Summer Youth Programs which offer theatre training intensives in musical theatre, drama and technical theatre. He earned a Phi Delta Kappa Community Partnership Award and an Honorary Service Award from the California State PTA two years in a row for his directing work in the community raising funds for arts education. Since 2008, he has partnered with the Ventura Kwanis and Ventura Education Partnership to direct their annual Festival of Talent which raises arts grants for VUSD students and teachers. In 2012, the Ventura County Arts Council named Brian an Art Star Award Finalist for his leadership in bringing arts to the classroom. Brian continues to offer one-on-one coaching in audition techniques and public speaking, and occasionally teaches an acting class at Ventura College.
