“Waiting for the Good Life”
Are you waiting for life to get better? Are you waiting for your home to be finished or being decorated, or to lose weight, or till you get the right job, and then you will start living the life you want? You my friend might be missing out on the best part of life.
Since I have been a Hair Therapist and the Host of my own radio show speaking with thousands of guests, I have learned over and over again that life is what you make it! If you are in a relationship that’s not feeding your soul, I’m not saying to get out of it, I’m saying to take a personal inventory and ask yourself what’s missing and if you can bring that to the relationship. Sometimes our partners aren’t aware of what you might need, or even what they might need. My husband and I read books together and ask each other what that means to us. You’d be surprised in knowing that there is so much more to learn about your husband or wife or significant other. I have to say life changes us and if you haven’t been checking in, you might be missing out. Here’s a few books that you might want to try: “The Five love Languages” by Gary Chapman, and “The Language of Letting Go” by Melody Beattie.
Now if you want to be more social and you like to entertain, but you are waiting because you feel your house isn’t ready, here are some easy fixes: Simplify your house, organize the front room that you would be entertaining in, and maybe get some new pillows and some candles. Try a simple meal or just appetizers from Trader Joes or Whole Foods, and if that feels hard ask the people that work there what is popular.
Stop waiting for life to happen and be in charge of your own destiny. You will be so excited to continue to try new things! Take a moment to one, write a wish list, and two, write a list of what might be holding you back. Figure out a way to muscle up the courage to move past those fears and live your most amazing life, the one that you’ve been dreaming of. Sounds silly, but good luck on your life!
