Valentine’s Day Is Just Around The Corner.
As we move on and make progress with our lives in 2015, we are quickly approaching the different holidays that we all celebrate throughout the year. The most well-known holiday that is coming up in a few weeks, and that is one of my favorites, is Valentine’s Day! Valentine’s Day is all about spreading and receiving love among family and friends.
I would like to send me deepest condolences to Sherry Gaba for the recent loss of her father. I hope that the Kim Pagano Show can contribute to the support that she needs as she continues her journey through coping with grief and loss. I have come up with a list to help Sherry, or anyone else who needs it, with celebrating special days, like Valentine’s Day, after recently hurting from loss.
Here are some tips that can be extremely useful during special days:
- Turn to friends and family members for support.
- Embrace the hurting as healing.
- Share your hurt with someone who loves you.
- Express your feelings in a tangible or creative way.
- Think on the positive.
- Take a moment for yourself on those special days.
- Cherish the memory of the loved one that was lost.
Overall, the most important thing that anyone can do to celebrate special days while hurting from loss is to face your feelings and try to keep a positive attitude as each day goes by. Take a moment to stop and smile everyday and appreciate those who make you happy. Positive moments can help to give you a fresh perspective on the good around you and help you to realize that there are so many things to celebrate with those who are still in your life.
