Declyn Shea Haas was born at 24 weeks, 5 days gestation and was only 1 pound, 14 ounces at birth. She was given a slim chance of survival. Thanks to the Los Robles Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists and staff, along with the advancements made by March of Dimes research, Declyn was given a fighting chance. Declyn spent 93 days in the NICU and has thrived beyond her parents’ wildest dreams. She will soon be 2 years old and has a bright future ahead.
