Is the story that you keep repeating in your mind holding you back? Every day when we wake up, we have the opportunity to start a new day and have a new outlook on life. First, start by asking yourself these questions… Are you starting your day in a positive way? Are you taking that gift? What are thinking about when you start your day? Are you setting new goals and looking forward?
If you keep your mind focused on negative thoughts, it will be harder to move forward in your life. Negative thoughts create negative actions. Try to stop telling yourself the negative stories and how this can lead you down a negative road.
Our thoughts and worries are meant to help us, but sometimes we get stuck there. We definitely want to feel those feelings. I’m not saying to stuff them, but when you feel you are able to move on, in your mind this will help you. If that thought keeps coming back recognize it and know you’ve thought about it before. If it is hard for you to move forward, remember the pain you already felt and don’t invite it in to stay again.
Start telling yourself a new story with these thoughts… “I am amazing and I am a gift to this world. I will love and honor myself every single day. I am going to start practicing self-love which is not selfish. Today is going to be a great day! I am amazing. This is going to be the best day of my life. I’m not looking back any more, this is my story and I’m sticking to it!”
