On the surface, capable teenage boys may look lazy. But dig a little deeper, writes child psychologist Adam Price, PhD in He’s Not Lazy, and you’ll often find conflicted boys who want to do well in middle and high school but are afraid to fail, and so do not try. This book can help you become an ally with your son, as he discovers greater self-confidence and accepts responsibility for his future.

Margaret Moore, aka Coach Meg, a top executive coach and founder of Wellcoaches, is the co-author of “ORGANIZE YOUR EMOTIONS, OPTIMIZE YOUR LIFE” and can help you navigate the holidays by showing how to decode your emotional DNA to be happier, less stressed and more appreciative so that you can fully engage in the joys of the holiday season.

Patti Wukovits, Executive Director of The Kimberly Coffey Foundation, will be sharing results of a nationwide poll of what parents understand about meningococcal disease. Patti Wukovits lost her daughter, Kimberly Coffey, to group B meningococcal disease, also known as MenB, at age 17. Following the tragic loss of her daughter, Patti founded The Kimberly Coffey Foundation to educate parents about the dangers of MenB and the importance of vaccination against it. She wants to ensure that no parent or person ever has to go through what she and her daughter did.

Dr. Michael Foggs is Chief of Allergy and Immunology at Advocate Medical Group of Advocate Health Care. He has practiced and conducted clinical research in allergy and immunology for over 30 years. He will be talking about about recognizing uncontrolled asthma symptoms and a new treatment option for patients with asthma called SPIRIVA® RESPIMAT® (tiotropium bromide) Inhalation Spray, which is the first new class of inhaled medicine approved for asthma in over 10 years.
