Lisa Rule, owner of Acorn Newspapers & Beyond The Acorn, is the Community Advocate of the Year and for the 17th Annual BRAVO Awards! It is through the leadership of her and her husband that the Acorn has become the area’s go-to trusted source for local news, events and information. The papers have taken an active role in the betterment of our communities by regularly supporting local organizations and schools throughout the over 140,000-household circulation area covering nine communities.
Bernadette Romero, the author of, Fulfillment: The Power of Compassion, has turned what most world see as a traumatic experience into a uplifting, life changing book, sure to empower and transform readers everywhere. Besides her blossoming career as an author, Bernadette originally from Santa Fe, NM is one of nine children and the mother of three children of her own, who have blessed her with three grandchildren as well. Besides her travels around the globe with her beloved boyfriend, who is a flight attendant, she lives in Oak Ridge, TN. Her message is one of joy, only accomplished through Fulfillment, which is the topic of not only her book, but her life as well.
Joe Ventricelli tells about his experience as Pharaoh in Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat playing at the FOX Performing Arts Center on April 10. His other works include Off-Broadway: Sleep No More, NYC Fringe: Saints! (Co-Writer, performer), The Bakers Wife, The Drowsy Chaperone, Fiddler On The Roof. Carnegie Mellon University’s: The Wild Party, You Can’t Take It With You, Carousel, Fireface. He has also earned his BFA in Drama from Carnegie Mellon University.
