Lissa Rankin, MD, New York Times bestselling author of Mind Over Medicine, The Fear Cure, and The Anatomy of a Calling is a physician, speaker, founder of the Whole Health Medicine Institute, and mystic. Ken Boyce is Principal Engineer Director, Energy & Power Technologies at UL LLC. Ken has decades of experience in safety engineering across many sectors. Most recently he has served as UL’s technical leader for the energy and power sectors, overseeing standards development and technical operations for renewable energy technologies, batteries and energy storage, advanced technology infrastructure, electric vehicle systems, power distribution, industrial automation, robotics, and related equipment. Ken is very active in the standards and code development community, and serves as the Chairman of National Electrical Code Panel 1. He represents UL in numerous global energy initiatives such as the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Renewable Energy Scheme. He works closely with US National Laboratories and academic institutions to advance scientific knowledge, including leading a number of significant renewable energy research projects. Ken holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, is a Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois, and is a Corporate Fellow in the William Henry Merrill Society at UL.
Katherine Mahoney is Vice President of Marketing at Razor, with global responsibility for all traditional and digital marketing communications, new product commercialization, licensing, and retail and trade programs. As a consumer goods marketer with proven experience in launching, growing and maintaining brands, she has a strong track record of building and growing efficient and effective marketing teams for maximum impact.
As one of the first 10 employees of Razor USA, Katherine directed all marketing programs for the launch of the wildly popular Razor scooter, one of today’s most recognized youth brands. In 2000, the Razor scooter received the prestigious Toy of the Year award. In 2007, Katherine launched Razor’s first TV advertising campaign that led to unprecedented sales results, exceeding all business goals while successfully introducing new brands. She has been instrumental in all grassroots marketing initiatives, including the creation and management of Team Razor and Team RipStik. Recently, Katherine introduced and directed the implementation of new technology solutions including a hosted digital asset management system. Prior to joining Razor, Katherine spent 12 years at Seiko Corporation of America where she served as Brand Manager for Pulsar and Spoon, in addition to assuming marketing responsibilities for special markets. Katherine has been a member of several industry organizations, including Individual member of Women in Toys (WIT) and the Toy Industry Association (TIA) and is a former board member of LA Youth. She currently lives in Los Angeles.
