7am Show: January 6, 2018 – Susie Skillstad “Boundaries” & Stephanie Caldwell “Ventura Chamber of Commerce – 21st Annual Poinsettia Awards Luncheon”

Susie Skillstad was born and raised in Germany. Her upbringing was of an authoritarian style where children are to be seen and not heard. At age 35 she knew she had to make some major changes and started going to therapy, attending self-improvement workshops and joining Celebrate Recovery, a Christian type of 12-step program. Motivated by her own experience, she now wants to help others to set healthy boundaries and create better relationships with spouses, friends, family members, co-workers and, most important, with themselves.

Stephanie Caldwell, the President & CEO of Ventura Chamber of Commerce, will be talking about the 21st Annual Poinsettia Awards Luncheon on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 11:30am-2:00pm at the Ventura Beach Marriott. The Poinsettia Awards recognize outstanding achievements of businesses and individuals who make a difference in our community. Bring an unwrapped toy donation for “Spark of Love”. Donations will be presented to the Ventura Fire Department.

Following the tragic loss of her daughter, Patti founded The Kimberly Coffey Foundation to educate parents about the dangers of MenB and the importance of vaccination against it. She wants to ensure that no parent or person ever has to go through what she and her daughter did.
