Michelle Howe is the author of “There’s a Reason They Call It Grandparenting”, which offers grandparents (and their adult children and grandchildren by association) thirty specific ways to inspire, encourage, and love their growing families in a vibrant life in Christ. Daniel Shumski is the author of he only Instant Pot cookbook that is organized by function. “How to Instant Pot” is both a guide to understanding the Instant Pot basics and a foodie’s creative collection of over 100 recipes specially crafted to take advantage of the Instant Pot’s many virtues, from cooking perfect risotto in six minutes, no stirring required, to five kinds of yogurt, to creating one-hour killer chili and soups from scratch, using dried beans.

A neurologist who’s been specializing in dementia and memory loss for more than 20 years, Dr. Gayatri Devi rewrites the story of Alzheimer’s by defining it as a spectrum disorder—like autism, Alzheimer’s is a disease that affects different people differently. In her book “The Spectrum of Hope”, she encourages people who are worried about memory impairment to seek a diagnosis, because early treatment will enable doctors and caregivers to manage the disease more effectively through drugs and other therapies.

Renowned style expert Jeannie Mai is currently known for her co-hosting duties on the daytime talk show “The Real.” Jeannie has joined the Reimagine MySelf program to share her personal stories of how she helps her aunt, who is living with relapsing MS, navigate activities she loves. Reimagine MySelf is a program dedicated to encouraging people living with relapsing MS to reimagine life with the chronic disease, and make small but impactful changes in their lives.

6am Show: November 4, 2017 – Rubicon Theatre Company “Taking Sides”, Dan Caro “The Gift of Fire: How I Made Adversity Work for Me”, & Dr. Leticia Ximénez “Start Again, Not Over”

Patrick Vest, Peter Van Norden, and Vivien Latham will be talking about the current show playing at Rubicon Theatre Company called Taking Sides, which is a provocative and gripping drama based on the true story of German conductor and composer (and accused Nazi sympathizer) Wilhelm Furtwängler. Written by Academy Award-winner SIR RONALD HARWOOD (“The Pianist”) and directed by Ovation Award-winner STEPHANIE COLTRIN, the play explores the terrible collision between art, power, politics and personal responsibility.

Dan Caro is the author of “The Gift of Fire: How I Made Adversity Work for Me”. He was born and raised in Southern Louisiana and grew up surrounded by the sounds of the New Orleans jazz scene. He vowed at a young age that, despite the childhood fire that robbed him of his hands, he would become a professional drummer. His pursuit and achievement of his dream inspired thousands of people and launched his second career as a motivational speaker.

Diane Jooris – 2016 Grand Prize Winner of the Astellas Oncology C3 Prize and co-founder of Oncomfort™, a health-tech company that uses virtual reality systems to potentially help patients manage the anxiety and pain of cancer care.
